During the selection of a flow restrictor, engineers and designers evaluate a variety of data to determine the correct component for their application. SFC KOENIG® developed an Excel-based application that helped users determine the flow rate expected, or orifice size needed, for their design based on a few inputs of data. As part of our digital marketing efforts, Stifel Marcin worked with the manufacturer on ways to highlight the tools. Our team not only worked to create fast and flexible engineering calculators that would facilitate the selection of SFC KOENIG components but also maximize marketing opportunities.
App Development & Promotion
Stifel Marcin’s B2B app team developed a web-based solution for the tool, housing the calculators on the SFC KOENIG website, which provided maximum exposure and access to users on both desktop and mobile app views. A back-end database was created to drive calculator functions and included alerts should an orifice size be too large for the selected part, or an alert that was sent if the flow rate was not acceptable.
The tools were promoted throughout a variety of additional marketing opportunities, including email blasts, press releases and with internal links throughout the SFC KOENIG website to maximize the visibility of the applications, while also improving the customer experience.
